THE MOTH
The Moth is true stories, told live and without notes. As an organization, it celebrates the ability of stories to honor the diversity and commonality of the human experience. This curated live event features five storytellers who share true stories on an array of topics, creating an experience that is intimate, inspiring, captivating, theatrical, and enlightening.
The Moth is a nonprofit dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. For 25 years, The Moth has presented over 40,000 true personal stories, told live, without notes, to standing-room-only audiences and virtually around the globe. Renowned for showcasing a broad range of human experiences, The Moth produces approximately 600 live and virtual shows each year and has an ongoing presence in 28 cities worldwide. Additionally, The Moth runs storytelling workshops for high school students, teachers, adults and advocates from around the world through its Education, Community and Global Programs, and MothWorks, which uses the essential elements of Moth storytelling as an empathetic communication tool.

OUR HOST: JON GOODE
Jon Goode is an Emmy nominated writer raised in Richmond, VA and currently residing in Atlanta, GA. Jon?s work has been featured on CNN, HBO, VH1, MTV, TVOne, and BET. His writing earned him the 2006 Promax Gold for the best copyright in North America, and in 2022 he won a gold American Advertising Award, and a Silver Telly. Jon's debut novel, Mydas, was a #1 new title on Amazon and is available wherever you buy books. Jon is currently one of the hosts of The Moth, Atlanta.
KELLI DUNHAM
KELLI DUNHAM is the nonbinary ex-nun nurse trauma-informed comedian so common in modern Brooklyn. Kelli has appeared on Showtime's Penn & Teller Bulls**t, BBC-4'S Sunday Religious Program and the Discovery Channel and is the author of seven hilarious nonfiction books about not funny at all subjects. Kelli loves to talk with nurses and other helping professionals about using humor to deal with vicarious trauma and work-related grief. You can hear Kelli chat with an eclectic group of guests about these subjects as well as LGBT health, caregiving, mutual aid, and knock-knock jokes on her new podcast Second Helping.
MICHAEL FISCHER
MICHAEL FISCHER conducts writing and storytelling workshops for various organizations, including AIDS Foundation Chicago and the Odyssey Project. He is a fellow of the Luminarts Cultural Foundation, Right of Return USA, Illinois Humanities Envisioning Justice, and the Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts. His nonfiction—which has won the National Systems-Impacted Writers' Contest, been nominated for Pushcart Prizes, and been cited as notable in Best American Essays, among other honors—appears in The New York Times, Salon, The Sun, Lit Hub, Guernica, Orion, The Rumpus, and elsewhere.
TIQ MILAN
Tiq Milan is a thought leader, storyteller and media maker whose work on equity and inclusion has had an impact in the U.S and abroad for over a decade. He travels throughout North America leading discussions on healthy modes of masculinity, intersectional leadership and engineering environment of inclusion. He has lectured at several universities including Harvard, Stanford, and Brown on the importance of inclusion as a tool of innovation and outlines concrete strategies for productive engagement. Tiq is a sought-after host having moderated conversation on intersectional inclusion and human rights at HBO's Newfest Film Festival and The Tribeca Film Festival. His 2016 TED Talk has been viewed over 3 million times and continues to inform and inspire people all over the world. Tiq recently executive produced the documentary film, Beyond the Aggressives, a 20 year retrospective look at the evolution of masculinity in Black queer spaces. The film will debut on Showtime this fall.
DI CAI
Di Cai is an investment professional by day, a stand up comedian at night, and a sailboat skipper (aka “captain”) if there's good wind on the Hudson River. A former Chinese TV hostess turned PhD scientist; an investor who moonlights as a comedian, she goes by the stage name "Dr Dee" in the underground New York comedy clubs. Whether it's stand up or storytelling, Di has her unique perspectives as an immigrant, a woman, and a badass.
PEREZ
Perez is a husband, father, and son born and raised in New Haven, CT. He's a believer in manifestation and is guided by the universe. He's a dreamer, muralist, tattoo artist, and student of "Alchemy."
